About "inA" from inArt!
Hello!
I have a very thoughtful friend who once described me as having "my first language as Art, my second language as Korean, and my third as English!" I loved her quote so much I hope she doesn't mind me using it over and over.

My name is Ina Casem, I own and operate inArt Academy in the Dos Vientos Village in Newbury Park, California. I graduated in 2003 from a private Korean University with a Bachelor in Arts, Living Arts Design and became a Licensed Art Colorist in the same year. It had always been my long-time dream to teach Art in hopes that my students will learn the power and joy it gives when you create something beautiful. Sadly, the opportunities in Korea were very limited for a mom. When we moved to California in 2012, I found new energy and inspiration to share my talents and skills. I started giving private classes to a handful of students in 2014. It has grown so big since then that I finally opened my own art studio in Dos Vientos in 2018. The rest is history!

Today, my goal is to inspire creativity in those who walk through our doors. Yes, even those who don't choose to be students can walk into our studio and be inspired! My studio also tries to ensure we fuel creativity and supply our students with the all tools, materials, and the training they need so that their only focus is to CREATE.

Every student of inArt Academy is an ARTIST!

About inArt Academy
inArt Academy is a lovely art studio where students as young as five-years old to adults can come and learn Visual Arts. Our classes are 90-minutes long and are kept at small, semi-private groups. For me, this ensures that I can maximize the time I spend with each student.

When a student begins taking classes at inArt, they are evaluated on their individual skills and I work on building upon this foundation to equip each student with the skills and knowledge to take on more complex works. I challenge my students to always push the boundaries of what they fell comfortable creating by always introducing new challenges in either technique or complexity.

Students are free to come up with projects on their own or choose one of the projects I have developed; I try to have a lot of new and fresh ideas to keep things interesting. If they do come with their own ideas, each student who is interested in doing the project and I discuss the techniques and skills required to create it. From there, they have a choice in what they want to do or we discuss other techniques in achieving the same effects. At inArt, students who are in the same class may be working on different projects.

At inArt, I will teach you how to draw, sketch, paint, sculpt, print, design, craft, essentially what you need to know to create. You'll get to learn how to use a variety of mediums from acrylic paints, watercolors, colored pencils, ink, to whatever else may interest you. The limitations what you can use to make, build, or create something is only limited by your imagination!
